Hilton HHonors - Embassy Suites Mexico City. Excellent Hotel

There aren't too many opinions of Embassy Suites Mexico City Reforma so wanted to write a short review.

Stayed in ES Mexico City in August 2009. A day before arrival called the hotel to arrange a car to pick me and Mrs. Anselmi up from MEX. There the friendly driver was waiting for us. A short walk to a garage and we where of to the hotel. Price of the pick up service was the only thing I would complain, $70 US.

The hotel is quite well located in middle of the city on the main street. Suites and public areas are very clean and in excellent conditions. Suites are nice and very well noise protected. But what was best in this hotel was the staff. Front desk, concierge, restaurant staff, cleaners, bell boys, security, all were extremely friendly. They were really willing to go the extra mile to serve us. And what we really appreciated was personal opinions and recommendations for local attractions e.g. lucha libre. And the breakfast, one of the best I have had. Easily compared to Hilton Narita breakfast what I think is one of the best in Hiltons.

Conrad Tokyo was earlier the best Hilton I have stayed. But now I am not so sure. Technically it was better but the personal touch we experienced in ES Mexico City was great. I can honestly recommend this excellent hotel for business or leisure.

I can't possibly love his hotel any more! Everytime I arrive, the guys at the door yank me out of the car and hug me and welcome me back. There is usually a bottle of wine waiting for me in an upgraded suite I never ask for, and the Evita restaurant in the hotel is amazing. This is not a "hotel restaurant", this is a restaurant that happens to be in a hotel.

Now take this with a grain of salt as I am a musician and blatantly look like a "rock star" (not trying to be obnoxious here) and perhaps they fancy me for that reason. However, I've enjoyed many conversations with the employees and they rush over to greet me no matter what time of the day or night I return to the hotel. The gear is always safe and the service is just about as perfect as I have ever had the pleasure to receive.

I've traveled all over the planet, and I can easily say that this is one of, if not my favourite place to stay on this planet.

GREAT hotel in all ways.
