Hilton HHonors - What is the value of a one (1) night stay?

I have scoured the Hilton website without finding an answer to the question; how many points does a person gain by staying in a property over one night? This is not a question of how many points one needs to pay for an overnight stay.

How many points you will earn for a stay depends on 1) the rate you're paying and 2) your double-dip election in your HHonors account. The table at http://hhonors1.hilton.com/en_US/hh/points/doubledipping.do breaks it down pretty concisely.

...and your HHonors status, and how much you spend on eligible incidentials.

Example:

if you were a Diamond level member staying ata Hilton hotel with a total bill of $300, you would earn 300 x 10 + 50% for being a diamond = 4500 points.

And if you selected "points plus Points" and paid with a Surpass or HHonors credit card, at Diamond level, more:

total bill of $300, you would earn 300 x 10 + 50% for being a diamond + points plus points +50% = 6000 points - plus AMEX Surpass (9 points per dollar spent) = 8,700 points total. (Now let's hope there is a bonus too... oink!)

...And if you booked and guaranteed the room with your AMEX card you would get another 500 points.

...And if your MyWay On-Property VIP Benefits preference has points selected, you can get another 250-1000 points, depending on brand.

That has been hit and miss the last couple of months not sure why.

Also in the States often there are rates with double and triple points(this one normally must include a Sunday night).
The double or triple points are only on the basic points, ie you do not get double/triple points on the bonus for the elite status,...
