I am thinking about flying Etihad on the above route and had a few questions, as I have not used them before.

All of the information I have seen relates to their long haul services, which sound pretty good. Does anyone have any recent experience of their regional services in J, please?

I see that it is most likely that we will be in an A320 (IIRC), although I see that they also have wide body aircraft from time to time.

What are the seats/leg room, food and IFE like?

Which lounge do they use at CAI terminal 2? Is it the same dismal lounge that BA use (EAS First Class I think) or one of the (slightly) better looking ones opposite?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

flew Etihad last sunday AUH - Karachi, and return back tomorrow, that was an A320 and seating in J was set up virtually the same as the ex Bmed now BMI set up, well certainly nearly the same as my BMI flight to Baku. 2 seat aisle 2 seat cradle seats with foot rest, the IFE lookign very good, but no movies as I was only ona 2 hour flight, but map kept me busy for most of that. Crew were good, didn't eat as it late night flight, but food looked good to me.

Only negagtive for me was that as we were off pier in AUH, and had significant numbers of assisted passengers it took forever to load the plane.

Oh if your in row 1 the overhead bins are full with the AVOD equipment, so get only early to get a space for your carry on

I would try to get on a 333 or 777 flight cause those J seats, ofcourse, are way better.
