This is something I haven't seen previously.
Booked a room at the Vienna Hilton Danube and got an offer for eStandy Upgrade:
As a special offer, you can use the new Hilton Vienna Danube eStandby Upgrade® Program to potentially upgrade this reservation to one of the following premium rooms for as little as 40 € extra per night.
How eStandby® Upgrades Work:
1 Select each eStandby® room upgrade below that interests you, then click the "Continue" button.
2 Find out at check-in if you get your requested eStandby Upgrade®.
IF YES
You agree to pay the additional amount stated below for the eStandby Upgrade®. IF NO
You will stay in the room you originally booked and pay nothing extra.
At this hotel the "upgraded" rooms are especially worth writing home about. I like the hotel as its usually reasonably priced and conveniant to the area near the airport.
Anyone else seeing this? I assume its like the NOR program only this seems to be me committing to paying for the upgrade if available, with them trying to sell the room for full price until I show up.
