I know, not exactly in the same geographic area... :)...but from Europe, BA right now has a special that offers good fares to either location and I have enough Hilton points to burn and will be looking for sun.
For an 8-9 night award stay in late November/early December - which one would you recommend (am HH Diamond)?
I have read all the reviews on both properties, but am particularly interested in hearing from people who might have been to both.
Any comments/comparison on
- beach
- what cost to expect in addition to the "free" award (food, drinks, etc.)
- things to do outside the resort/at night
- any other noteworthy aspects
would be appreciated.
My concern with the Mauritius property is that it might be too much "in the middle of nowhere", even though it seems a little bit more upscale than the Barbados property.
P.S.: As a sidenote, has anybody been to the Hilton Mauritius and to one of the Starwood properties in Mauritius? (Would have some SPG points to burn as well....)
