Other North & South America Frequent Flyer Programs - MIA-MAO on TAM 767?

I've seen several older threads, mainly about a year old, talking about the few 767 planes that TAM flies (generally those threads were about another specific route), but haven't seen anything recent. Those threads generally seemed not to be real impressed with those planes, saying they'd be acquired from other carriers, and almost nothing done to them. Have they done anything to improve those planes since then? I'm looking at possibly doing business class on the flight from MIA to MAO, but haven't decided whether it's worth doing that over my other options (the main other option likely to be a charter flight that I've seen people say sometime is a newer 737, and sometimes a really bad flight on a much older plane, I want to say I vaguely remember it possibly being a DC-9).

Nope, they are still the same. There is a rumour circulating on one of the Brazilian aviation sites that TAM is now seeking bidders for the 767s and will eliminate this type from the fleet.
