WestJet "Passenger Perks" - WJ Credit Note ($1600+) question...

Hi all, I primarily fly AC (for biz) but have increasingly been on WJ for biz and personal travel...

My family had to unfortunately cancel our 4 tix to LAS from YYZ and as we booked in a seat sale class, after the $50/passenger change fee, I'm stuck (luckily?) with a $1600 WJ credit note. I understand that these are transferable "to anyone" as the WJ e-mails say, and this is only an issue because frankly, I'm not sure we're going to use anywhere close to that much on WJ in the next year (I know we can extend the life of the note by paying a nominal fee).

Has anyone here transferred a credit note to somebody else? If so, how easy / difficult is it? Can you transfer say, $500 to one person, then $500 to another, then the rest to someone else, or does it all have to go to the same party? Anyone interested in $1600 WJ bucks? Hahaha!

Thanks for the info!

Why not call Westjet and ask? That's what the free 800 line is for!!!

Don't phone 1-800 WESTJET unless you are over 18.
The number is 1-888 WESTJET.

I have sold the credit before. I had a $500 credit that I sold off for $400. Havent tried to break it up before, but I know you can use it in blocks, so I dont know why you wouldnt be able to give it away in blocks as well.

All it took was a five minute phone call to WESTJET to get it sorted out.
