Nothing blue about JetBlue
In a chronically troubled industry, JetBlue focuses on a culture of low costs, great service, and a certain fun factor.

Such freedom felt. ;)
I think that labeling them "growing and profitable" is a liberal use of a point in time snapshot mentality - their ASMs are still down from 18 months ago IIRC and they have had a few money losing quarters recently though the last couple were good.
And I'm shocked that the reporter is suggesting that the AYCJ passes is going to help jetBlue reach the BELF as though it is actually going to help them turn a profit in that regard. Unless they are using the AYCJ folks to fill seats so that their pricing algorithms will then close out lower fare buckets that makes no sense at all. And the same thing could be accomplished by just zeroing out the buckets.
Still, it is a nice puff piece about Barger, his attitude and that of the organization. From the 3 minutes of time I got last October to talk his ear off I'd tend to agree with the view of him in that regard.
