Other European Frequent Flyer Programs - Impossible to Redeem on SN in Business to LAD?

I have some Brussels Airlines Miles that i wanted to use on a single business class award to LAD. for the rest of the year, there are no available award seats.

I could go on LH, but have enough miles there and SN charge a premium of 30K miles.

most flights I am looking at have maybe 2 seats booked in C...

Many times you are fortunate to find a PAID seat in C on flights to LAD. The chance of award seats must be close to snowballs in hell...

Is there any way to use your miles through Miles&More on Star Alliance (now or in the near future)? In that case you could try on TP. They have daily flights to LAD, so maybe if you are very lucky...

But I would not count on it. As IAN-UK mentioned, even if you are willing to pay (a lot) in C, you still end up in Y very often because there is simply no availability in C on most flights to and from LAD. (To be honest, I have seen some empty seats in C on TP flights once in a while...)
