Air New Zealand Air Points - What's the difference between "Business Premier" and "Business Class"

I notice that Business to KIX (and nowhere else in Asia as far as I can see) on NZ is referred to as "Business Class" whilst everywhere else (NRT,PVG,PEK,HKG) gets "Business Premier". Is there a reason for this and if so is it reflected in different standards?

*Flat bed
*Seat pitch: about 6foot
* AVOD 10" PTV
* On Boeing 772s & 744 aircarft

Business Class
Layout: 2-2 (A320) 2-2-2(763)
* Seat Pitch: 42" (A320) & 50" (763)
*AVOD 10" Touch Screen PTV

Alot of the Japan services are now Boeing 767-300ERs, which feature the Shorthaul Business Class(Old Longhaul). All 767s & 320 had a major cabin upgrade at the end of last year. Which added AVOD PTV's to both classes onboard.

Is it only on AKL - KIX - AKL as the OP stated, or does the 763 also fly to other Asian destinations?

As far as I am aware, only KIX in Asia.

But PER and HNL also have these old planes.

The 763 does service NRT on some weekdays too.

I had experienced the new Business Class (ie not premier) for both Trans Tasman (SYD-AKL on A320 and B767) and long haul (AKL-PPT on B767) in April this year. I was happy with it but then I never travelled J before that trip. Click on the link in my signature for details (look at the TR B767 flights) :)
