We will be renting a full-size car and was wondering how the Chevy Impala is? What model of the Chevy do they use? Also does the car come with XM Radio/Cd Player?

Another question is why on a lot of the GM cars does the radio(Delco I believe) show the radio station and then automatically return to the time? How do you stop this from happening so it will only show the radio station when you turn on the car etc? Have you noticed this when you change the radio station it will appear for a few seconds and then return to the time? What is this feature called.

Avis uses about every model of Impala, from bare bones to nicely loaded (leather, sunroof, etc). You can see the options associated with each at Edmunds.com, and get a full ride report. Overall, it's a roomy car, but is beginning to feel a bit dated. It handles okay (much better than the Ford offering--Crown Vic), but not as well as a Camry/Accord. In the base/cloth seats, they're very uncomfortable for me. I think all GM cars come with CD now, but you can verify on Edmunds. As for XM, it's hit or miss since they're keeping the cars longer and the XM is only active for a few months.

As for the radio display question: I don't want to sound ignorant/mean, but you might be better off looking for that answer on somewhere other than FT. I haven't had a GM in a while other than a Caddy, but you should be able to push a "display" button or somehting to get it to show time or radio consistently. I don't know if there is a true term for this.
