That's cutting it pretty close. If you have the Hilton AMEX card, you can make sure you spend the $20K and get Gold.

Most VIP status ended early in the year unless you qualified again. Apparently the OP did not. Nil stays........nil status.

Don't know if AA has this but NW has a fast track to Gold for Plat elites with just 6 stays
