Nooooooo!!!!

I don't generally like coffee but this is the only concoction I am tempted by. Yum oh yum.

Why does this always happen just as I am ready to get serious about my diet?!

Thanks (I think) for the heads-up.

I got a sample yesterday at the in-store Starbacks at a Tempe, AZ Safeway. I do concur it is definetly tastier than last year.

P.S. It was sure fun having a "fall drink" while it was 105 F outside ;)

Pumpkin *spice* latte. A slight variation on the cinnamon/nutmeg/cardamon spice coffee that is (at least in my mind) typically South Asian.

But wherever it came from, my waistline cringes, well aware of my own lack of self control...

Trust me, it's no ristretto, but it's good. It's the only flavored coffee I would drink.

Thanks to the OP for the alert. :)

Can the syrups be bought to take home? I doubt Australia will get this one but I love pumpkin spice.

Try one with the holiday gingerbread--so much tastier than many of the "usuals".

Methinks you're getting hung up on the label ;)

Pumpkin spice = cinnamon + nutmeg + ginger + allspice.

Has a pumpkin-pie-like flavor.

They're not grinding up real pumpkins and dropping it into the latte, just adding some allspice and ginger.

Anyway, gotta go by Starbucks tomorrow...

BamaVol Jr#2 mentioned this the other day. He works at SBux. I've never tried it, but it has many fans. He said they started getting inquiries a few weeks before it arrived. I'll try one but it's still hot here and DD iced coffee is still my preference until the temps drop into the 60's.

The SweeTango debuts this fall, though in limited markets.

Pumpkin spice already! So, Fall is here, but hard to realize, in the middle of 95 degree heat. Love that flavor anytime, though.

 This just means Starbucks ended summer and now we have to deal with the sweet drinks for another six months. I swear, every year they come out earlier and earlier. At one point they came out right before Thanskgiving.

Next up, the Christmas Eggnog Latte that will come out on Halloween?

I am still trying to get ahold of the elusive ristretto.

I didn't realize that eggnog was a regional drink of the USA ;)

I take it back after having one today. Perhaps my tastes have changed (or the recipe?) since winter but it wasn't good and had a lingering unpleasant aftertaste.

Anyone know where to find good ristretto widely available in the US?

Definitly not at starbucks, I almost **** when I tried their espresso, ristretto, they don't even know about its existencce - this is why they put all the milk, sugar, cream and artificiall flavour into their coffee :)
In order to not make you recognize that their coffee beans aren't that great.. Indeed, I have to admit: GREAT marketing.

The only chain I know who makes good espresso and ristretto is belgian: "Le pain quotidien"

@home: Try out Nespresso - I was really suprised by the taste :D
