Air New Zealand Air Points - Know the Aircraft Reg Before Flying

Hi folks, long time reader, first time poster here! :D

Simple question: Is there anyway of knowing the aircraft registration before flying? I like to keep note of which frames I have flown!

Really the only way you can find out the rego is the day you are flying by:

1/Asking at check in (they will know),

2/Ask the Purser when boaring the a/c,

3/Obviously, checking the tail.

If you happen to be in the galley area, the aircraft registration is on a placard there as well (or in the case of some 763s, scrawled in felt tip pen on the emergency exit doors and galley, since the placards have long ago fallen off!)

There's also usually a metal plate in the top frame of the door you're entering through, although it's quite hard to read without holding up the rest of the passengers.

Or happen to have a friend that works at NZ that has the access to find it for you:D

On most NZ Aircarft the last 1 or 2 letters of the rego is painted on the foward landing gear door & above the cockpit widows.

If you got part of the rego, this page can help you find the rest http://www.caa.govt.nz/Script/Air_Mod.asp (provided that you know the model you flew on)
