long time reader...first time poster...anyhoo I am staying at the royal york on the 10th of September for 1 night which will be my fifth stay which qualifies me for "premier status". It says on their website that if you qualify by September 15th you get early access to the benefits. Is this qualification based on the registered night you stay..or based on when their system is updated (as it usually takes upwards of a week to process).

Thanks in advance for your responses

I'd be fairly sure you will early qualify for Premier since the stay is before sept 15

Once your stay posts, call them and they can do it automatically over the phone.

Argh, I didn't notice the 9/15 date. I'll have my 9th stay after 9/9 but won't have my 10th until after 9/15. Does that mean that my Platinum status and benefits wouldn't come into effect until March 2010?

No. Just call and ask for it. They should send you out a package right away. And then you'll get a new one next year. A good way to double is use this years free night prior to FEB 28 2010 and next years free night for a free two night stay somewhere warm in JAN or FEB. And use a suite upgrade too.
