Swiss International Airlines - what's the chance of a paid upgrade to first at check in?

hi,
I have been exploring the upgrade route here from business to first from ZRH-HKG.
I am a silver Star alliance card holder, but with bmi, who dont offer miles for class upgrade, so I cannot use that.
If when I check in I ask about paying for an upgrade, is there usually space? taking load factors etc into accout, are they likly to ask stupid money for this? rough idea?
I am checking in at BHX, UK, and connecting at ZRH.

On the reverse routing HKG - ZRH they were asking for CHF 1980 for the o/w upgrade C to F.
Cheers

Not bad amount given the actual difference of CHF 7500 if the ticket is purchased in J class and upgraded to first at the time of purchase. So saving is almost CHF 5500
Are these prices listed anywhere at all? I realise they wouldn't want to advertise them too much, but I'd love to see prices on other flights. I'm flying LX14&15 later in the year in C and wouldn't mind upgrading one of them to F if the price is reasonable. (Apologies for the slight thread-hijack)

Then again depending on where you purchase your tix - in my case the fare difference was less and that included another leg in F after ZRH - however they did not offer nor look at that

I believe there exists an official page in their handbook that lists the prices for last minute upgrades. When I asked at the transfer desk in ZRH last week about upgrading on the flight I was connecting to, the lady opened her book, and gave a fixed price.
I would call Swiss and ask about the last minute upgrades.
