Beware of the condition of your car at this airport location. They have just now started very intense inspection upon return. I had noticed several dings on my recent car. prior to leaving and mentioned it to the security guard and he looked at them, said no problem he was indicating such on my agreement. I forgot to look at my copy of the agreement and he did not indicate it on my copy. Sure enough upon returning, the girl mentioned the dings and said the security guard made no mention of this on their copy of agreement. Spoke with the manager and he said it wouldn't be a problem, but was not real convincing. I am watching my CC statement very closely for any additional charges. Feel kinda stupid for not double checking my copy of agreement when security guard handed it back to me. I know better, but was in a hurry and it slipped by me.

I've been seeing dings a lot recently on cars, maybe I should start noting them and taking some cam phone pics....

Remember when they filled out the small ticket that had a diagram of the car on it, and marked any damages on it? You got a copy and they got a copy. I asked Austin manager about this and he agreed they need to bring that back. Also does not help when their security guards are not even employed by Avis

Of course, that only works with carbon copy agreements. I havent seen one of those in ages. Every AVIS I rent from uses the pre-printed preferred cards, where they tear it in half. When they make notes, they only put it on their half............
