AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - to upgrade A+ reward ticket using a different A+ reward from a different person

Okay, I know it is possible to upgrade a reward ticket using A+ reward. However, I am not sure whether the following is possible..

I will have enough reward points to purchase tickets for my kids. However, each of my kid will only have 4 points when we travel next year. My question is whether I can use my kid's reward points to upgrade their reward tickets.

As I use my reward points to purchase their tickets, hence the tickets will be under my name, and I am not sure how I can get the agent to agree to use their reward points to upgrade those tickets.

Has anyone done this before? I know I can call, but the travel will be for next year, and I like to plan ahead on using their 4 points.

The "tickets" will not be under your name, they will be under the name of the passengers flying, since they are the passengers, I don't see why you could not use their points to upgrade them.
