We have included the Seychelles as a part of an RTW journey and wonder whether any FTer has recommendations for value-for-money accommodations, car hire etc. in Mahe or Praslin. We are looking at a mid-September departure. Thanks for any tips.

To start you may want to visit (if not already) Tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g293738-i9311-Seychelles.html) as there is lot of information available.

I don't see any affiliation with hotel programs in your profile. If you belong to Hilton HHonors program, check out FTer reviews of Hilton Seychelles, (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/hilton-hhonors/444476-hilton-seychelles-northolme-resort-spa.html) as it may be the best place in terms of value to redeem points.

I was there about 11 years ago so no idea on prices now.. but I stayed at Auberge d'Anse Boileau guesthouse.. it was reasonable (for the Seychelles) I think $60 a night but a bit out of the way. I rode the local buses into town.
