Swiss International Airlines - Assigning seats on award reservation

I have an award booking with LX made via a star alliance partner (BMI) - I posess both the LX and BMI reference numbers and my itinerary has been confimred on check my trip,

BMI advise me that they cannot allocate seats on LX flights

How do I do this with LX?

I would simply call the telephone number for Swiss reservations for your geographic area.

For an upcoming award booking made via United, I call the reservations number here in the United States and was able to obtain seat assignments.

+1. When I a booked award travel through UA that included LH, I called LH directly and they assigned seats without a problem.

Note that in my experience LX block some rows for SEN/HON only.
