at the next CA meeting, the FCO CA officer will commence action to revoke the authorizations issued to AZ and Flightcare as handlers.
After this action, the companies will be asked to enforce a plan to resume regular operations, then in 70 days they will be audited again for a final decision.

After the chaos that lately ensued in FCO, with the hundreds of lost luggages, I believe it's a fair action.
If I recall correctly, AZ repeatedly caused problems with luggage handling in FCO even before banktruptcy. I guess not much's really changed with the "new" company, btw.

It's about time. Maybe this time some VVIP of the italian government, or a member of the family, or an Alitalia Board member got caught it that chaos!
What strikes me most is the maximum time set in the ANAC rules to deliver the bags from the arrival to the aircraft can be up to 60 mn for an ex-EU flight and 45 mn for a domestic flight!! now that explains a lot. Maybe changing the rules to 30 mn delivery time could be a severe warning to the handling companies!!

Well, the mayor of Rome had a problem with his luggage. He had to wait more than an hour after arriving from VCE. Now that he's been affected, I think some people are starting to get things done there. It's an absolute nightmare at FCO. I flew VCE-FCO in April on AZ and waited 1h15m for the luggage. Horrible. Absolutely horrible.
