Air New Zealand Air Points - Anyone else hit GE.. accidentally?

..or at least unexpectedly? :D^

The last bunch of flights from my most recent trip credited over the last day or so... and credited more A$ than I had calculated... Go figure...

My summary page is still saying I am Gold, and have earned enough Status Points to "retain Gold until XXX 2011"..

...but in the section "to upgrade to Gold Elite" the "needed if earned today" figure is now 0. I assume that means I'll be upped to GE at some point soon...

If so.....Neat! ^

What flights/routes earned more A$ than you thought?

Interesting to know as there have been a couple of threads recently regarding whether A$ are credited per segment or per overall journey, with differing experiences.

..and yes, it was essentially the difference between segment and "journey" as far as I'm concerned... I expected "by journey" and got "by segment" (I think!):D

There are so many reversals etc already on my "curent page" that I really have trouble keeping track anyway!

I have another trip in October - added to the schedule at shortish notice - so I'll hit GE after that.. if not now...

EDIT: I went and checked just then (paranoia strikes deep...)... It says "new Status GE effective 1 October.. new m'ship pack will be sent etc"

Now... from past discussion I assume that will mean my October trip falls into the earning "hole" or "gap"... true? :eek::td:

No - that is good. Your September travel falls into the status requalifying hole.

Thanks KF... that occurred to me as I was working this morning.... bit of luck that..... as I don't have ANY September travel.^
