Whats the cheapest way to get there?

I saw tickets from Charleston normally go for around 900. Same if I want to leave from Atlanta or Charlotte.

Can anybody help me out with anything cheaper?

Perhaps you would do better going to Paris and taking the train up to Belgium?

Hi doc,

It would help to provide some dates, and the amount of flexibility you have. Also, are you just looking at one airline/alliance, or are you totally open?

Cheers,

Dates would be very handy and a point of origin.

Yeah, I actually meant to provide dates, don't know why I forgot.

Departure: Mid December - Early January
Return: Early May

As you can see, there is a lot of flexibility.

I need to be in Brussels starting January, but I have family in Paris that I was thinking about visiting beforehand. Does this help any?

I'm assuming you meant Charleston, SC - CHS? As opposed to Charleston, WV - CRW?

You could try the ITA software, using "ATL/CHS/CLT" as your origin. That would shake out the difference between using the different possibilities.

When I tried a couple searches, I could see a CLT-BRU via USAir for $864 - 12/27 - 5/14. Interestingly enough, when I switch to CDG as a destination, I get an AirFrance out of ATL for $808.

I'd strongly suggest you check the airline web sites also. From time to time, they have had the better numbers.

You might be a good candidate for Priceline bidding. USAir is definitely a participant. And trying is free.

I do mean CHS, as in South Carolina.

I actually do think I am trying to go to Paris first.

Is 800 the cheapest I can get?

You might do better than the $800 via Priceline bidding. But if you do try it, do make sure you watch the numbers after taxes and fees have been added to your bid. You will know this total before you push the final button to actually bid.

You might also look at flying to FRA (Frankfurt) and taking the train to Brussels, often flights to FRA are among the least expensive to Europe.

On kayak I see a ATL-FRA on 12/17 for $686 rt
