Found this fabulous report. It had me wondering rather wistfully (or should that be wishfully), whether EY18 will remain like this, as we are currently flying it in November, or whether this was a special for journos and the plane will be put onto more long haul sectors (which makes sense).

Anyone with insight information know if EY will deploy the aircraft with the new suites on the SYD-AUH route ? We will be on EY 451 on September 8 and hope to enjoy this new product.

There are quite a few different media report on the new suites now and they seem to pretty definitely indicate that LHR-AUH will be where the new suites will be used initially. Seems a bit strange given how short it is (8 hours), but maybe it is their best route in terms of full fares. There is a second 340-600 being fitted with the suites in September, but Etihad fly 3 times a day between London and Abu Dhabi so it would probably be used there as well.
