Stayed for a week in July/August 2009. Overall, a great experience at a fair price. Rooms were modern and kind of sterile but huge, clean and recently renovated. Beds extremely comfortable. Baths huge but kind of weird in that the closet is in the bathroom without any doors. Worked out ok.
Rate included a huge and superb breakfast - but be careful if its busy - they may seat you in a windowless conference room rather than the very nice restaurant.
Bar is good atmosphere, drinks and food, albeit very expensive.
Location is absolutely fantastic. Walk to Palace, parks, great shopping, Green Park Tube is 2 minute walk with great connections. Fancy restaurants (Nobu) and grocery store literally across the street.
Staff ranged from great (bartender, waitress) to indifferent (but not offensive). Concierge was nice but worthless - a quick look at TimeOut gave better info than he had. Front desk was ok - but huge kudos for getting us the adjoining rooms we requested
For the price - gbp219 including b'fast and vat -- I recommend it highly
