I currently have an exchange request searching for Cancun for February 2010 through Interval International for myself and my 15 year old daughter.
We are both beach lovers and I'm wondering if anyone has been to Cancun recently and if the beaches are okay now. I don't necessarily need to swim...I just want to be able to go into the water when I get hot and lay on the beach. Any information would be really appreciated. Some of the resorts I'm searching for are the Royal Resorts, Omni, Westin, Imperial Fiesta Club and the Avalon Grand Resort.
I have been offered a stay at the Azul Sensatori Hotel in Puerto Morelos. I went on Trip Advisor and read some mixed reviews about this hotel. The main reason I may not stay is because they have said that the beach in front of the hotel is not nice and has jagged rocks, etc. If this is the case all over Cancun, then maybe I'll stay at the Azul.
Has anyone stayed at Azul and should I stay there or wait to get one of the resorts along the strip in Cancun?
