Is the chance of 24hr upgrade better with MCS fare?
Whats the chance of upgrade on 7AM SFO-JFK on any Monday morning? I have made EXP on AA for next year and am looking to spread the wealth.

Is the food for MCS same as F?

MCS food is the same as main cabin, NOT first. Only difference is it's comped for MCS. This goes for all food and beverages sold on the seatback tv's.

Not quite sure what you're asking re: if the chance of a 24hr upgrade is better with MCS fare. If you're asking if buying an MCS fare gives you a better chance of upgrading to first, no. If you're asking if there's a better chance of getting a 24hr upgrade to MCS, it just depends on the flight time of day/day of week/routing. 24 hr upgrades are simply based on whether the seats are open. There are more MCS seats than F seats, but they're also less expensive to upgrade, so can go quicker. Don't know the specifics on the Mon am flight, but others here can probably help. In my experience, the early flight is easier to upgrade than the mid-morning flights, both F and MCS. Best advice, just be ready to grab whichever upgrade you choose right at the 24 hr mark either online or via phone. Continuing what was stated above, MCS is not a F/J experience - it's still a coach product, albeit one with preboarding, more legroom and lots of nice freebies.
