ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI - News), today filed applications with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to begin offering service to Nassau, Bahamas; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and the island of Aruba.

I agree. I think that it would be nice to see them add routes from ATL, and Orlando to South America as well. I am not sure if their 737s have the range but Lima, Peru and Bogota Columbia may be good additions for airtran

Yep, sure they did. FL will begin new routes from BWI/ATL/MCO-NAS, ATL/MCO-MBJ/AUA. This is first-ever new nonstop from MCO-AUA. Both routes AUA/NAS-MCO/ATL will have pre-clear before entrance into USA. No needing to be clearance at Customs & Immigrations into domestic gates, too.
