Looks like we are down to 9 properties left in Calif with GP Bonuses (G1, G2, G3, etc.) Anyone else notice this before?

I did, however some of the bonuses were suppose to be effective until August 31. What's the deal???

The deal is that their IT dept is at it again.

There are plenty of bonuses still in effect, yet they were wiped out when the system was updated with the new bonuses thru 11/30.

Yesterday I had to call to find out the code for a property for a stay before 9/1.

They really need to find new IT support.

Hence whenever I check in, I always ask what Gx bonus is available

There use to be a place you could download a PDF of current offers for a given quarter/time frame. I use to do this so I have the proof if I'm questioned on a Gx bonus not posting and no longer showing up.

This came in handy once but I no longer see a place to download a PDF file with the list of them.

Anyone else know where it might be now or if they totally removed it?

The problem also is that most of the desk employees don't have a clue when you start talking GP bonuses -- at regular Hyatts some seem to know but at HP you usually get a blank stare.

Similar experience here - I even has to school HP staff regarding the "diamond amenity" that they said the hadn't heard of..

I'm exploiting the "G" bonuses, 2500 point MC bonus and diamond bonus although most G's are difficult to find.

Didn't Gx's become quite rare during the last FFN period too - I thought so but not sure.

Yes, during the last FFN promo, they were much less common, but there were still a few around. :)

+1 - especially after my experience tonite! Hyatt is so customer focused, it amazes me that this is not a priority for them.

Did anyone print out the G bonus list before they just now changed it? I never learn, they do this all the time--take off the G bonuses before the timeframe is up. Specifically I'm looking for tonight at Santa Clara. Called front desk and I don't feel confident in her answer ("might be G2") and reservation line says nothing (don't feel confident with that answer either). Thanks.

Thanks very much, Maui4me1. Maybe I'll just go to HP Fremont that I know does have a G1 and is less $.

They may be gone from hyatt.com but they still work. I am staying at the Monterey Hyatt tonight for $110 government rate. Front desk verified G2 works for 2K points, DEL5K for 5K, Diamond amenity = 1K, pay with MC for 2.5K for a starting point of 9.5K before I even touch the front door of the room. Add to that a $150 food and beverage credit, golf course view room upgrade, lounge access, free internet, etc., I can't afford to stay home!

True. The G3 was gone a couple of month ago. I hate to see that as I stay at HR SC pretty much every week. :td:

I just missed you, I was there Wed night. Already have rec'd 11,130 points on my $144 rate (I don't work for the government) plus $150 food credit, DELISH cert for next resort stay & RC. Hey, you added wrong, it's 10,500 points before the room rate points! We were upgraded to a suite. I want to go back--especially since the weather was a perfect 75 degrees and it's over 100 here at home now (and, unlike the resort, I have no pool but I do have a/c). I apologize for going off-topic here--I'm waiting for the Hyatt web site to come back up since it died just after I hit the "book" key.

Have been told that Hyatt Monterey allows retired Gov.employees to receive the Gov. rate. Does anyone have any information on that?

Do you have a valid government employee ID? I know retired military get IDs but I have never heard of a retired government civilian ID. I'll find out if I stick around another 28 years.

I am retired City employee with valid Retired ID. Monterey Hyatt Gov. rate includes City, county etc.

I've got G bonuses on just about every stay currently booked thorugh the fall. About a month ago, the 3rd quarter (at least through September/October) were posted and I had these added to existing reservations. (Now for the FFNs announcement any time now...)
