AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Medical Emergency Aboard Flight 342 on 8/24/09

Traveling on flight 342 from MKE to SFO this morning. About an hour into the flight, FA makes an announcement asking people with "medical experience" to come to the galley. A handful of people go forward.

About an hour later, another FA announcement - this time to only use the forward lav (since two-thirds of the lavs were now unavailable, they were [thankfully for many, I'm sure] pretty lax about people standing in the aisle in BC while waiting).

Just prior to landing, a third FA announcement - this time asking passengers to remain seated upon arrival to allow those dealing with the medical emergency to deplane first.

I hope the person who experienced the emergency is ok. I was just surprised that (a) we weren't diverted; and (b) no medical personnel boarded the plane upon arrival. I suppose it just depends on the nature and seriousness of the emergency.

Must not have been a real "emergency". No diversion, no first responders to board the aircraft upon arrival.

Interesting. I was on that exact aircraft this morning BOS-MKE, right before the SFO leg (it was a thru-flight via MKE).
