With all the buzz surrounding the 2007 Southern Rhone wines, I'm interested to hear what futures you've decided to pick up. Here's a rundown of what I've ordered so far.
6 (bottles) Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape
6 (bottles) Château de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Coudoulet de Beaucastel
6 (bottles) Domaine Paul Autard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée La Cote Ronde

am i correct to presume you have ordered 20 cases of this stuff.
i can recall when coudoulet sold for 2 bucks a bottle. i think i still have one laying around somewhere. will look.
i took my 1990 beaucastel back to the wine merchant(only one case). could not believe the stuff was that expensive($10 or 20 a bottle). i bought it before parker went bonkers over it, and returned it after. he was really excited to get it back, as he was able to double the price.......parker, smarker, chateauneuf is a joke to me.

I picked up a few bottles of 1995 Chateau Rayas for about $59 each prior to Parker giving it a 100 score, and Jacques Reynaud dying. Right after he croaked and the Parker 100 came out, the wine started fetching $500 a bottle.

Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils
Year to year it may not be the best and most spectacular out there, but they are consistent. You know if you pick up a bottle of his stuff, it will be anywhere from very good to totally incredible. It is the first winery I look for if I'm buying a Chateauneuf in a store.
I don't know enough about any of the other wineries there to know who can make a good bottle in a bad year, but I know Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils can. In a great year of course just about anybody can.

20 cases? no way! the amount of futures I bought was indicated by the number before the "x".

I read them as cases too, so it's bottles?
I'm like wow, that's mucho wine for one area (though will drink well for a very long time)
