Qatar Airways Privilege Club - DOH-ICN by A332

Hi,

Intend to buy a return ticket FRA-DOH-ICN v.v. as fare excellent for the intended period (< 700 Euros).

Connections both ways at DOH quite good with more-or-less 2 hours transit-time.

Booking via QR's reservations-system says, there is a technical stop on the way between DOH and ICN v.v.

Does anyone know where ? (Always thought DOH-ICN was quite a distance for an A332, and this stop figures)...

It must be KIX. It's technically not a technical stop. Rather carries DOH-KIX and DOH-ICN passengers together. QR will separate ICN and KIX route next year or so.

Yes its a stop in Osaka Kansai. Its a short stop though, around an hour or so. The thing is that on the way to ICN you should disembark the plane for security check. On the way to Doha you have to stay onboard till passengers from Osaka board the plane. Actually the plane will be empty after passengers disembark in Osaka. Almost all of the passengers on the flight are Japanese. I take this flight every month from Osaka.

The FRA-ICN would be the end of January, however the return the end of February and it still shows the 'technical stop', so, apparently, the QR reservations-system has not been updated, or this split has been postponed/put on hold...

The split will be from March 28th, on the same day the Doha Osaka route will be upgraded to Boeing 777-300ER.
