Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Meals in F on LHR Routes

I'm going to be taking my first F flights on CX255 to LHR, and CX254 back to HKG very shortly.

CX255 is DEP HKG 0035 ARR LHR 0620
CX254 is DEP LHR 2235 ARR HKG 1725+1

I checked in the menu thread and can't find anything for these flights. Can anyone who has flown give some input on what the meal service is like on these flights and post a menu for something recent.

As I've never travelled in F before on CX, I'm not really sure what to expect.

Also is there anything else I should know about these flights?

Also, is there usually a vegetarian option on these flights for the meals?

I took the flight in F departing 1LHR 12.30pm recently. It had lunch and breakfast.

Quality was quite good surprisingly and there was caviar and balik salmon. Snacks was a choice of sandwich, pork pie or noodles. Won't add much more as it probably won't be relevant to your flight.

Remember that in F the menu is simply a list of what they have on board. You can eat whatever you want, whenever and in whatever combination. If they don't have what you like they will try to find something from J.

I've taken both flights in F in the past and got 1) Supper & Breakfast for 255 and 2) Dinner & Breakfast for 254. There will be more choices for the Dinner service on 254 compared to Supper on 255. Amount of choices will be more or less the same on Breakfast for both flights though the menus will somewhat differ from the two departing ports.

To be honest, I haven't had a decent catering quality on all the times I've flown ex-LHR. And my last one on 250 this month was just average and continued that trend. So when flying on 254, don't get "overly" excited about the meals.

Thanks for all the replies. One more question, is the menu on the earlier CX251 (2355 out of HKG) better than the CX255 because CX251 leaves before midnight and CX255 after?

Or are they pretty much the same?

Both flights have identical menus to each other.
