Hawaii-based Airlines - Hawaiian coach seating comments needed

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could comment on Hawaiian coach seating leg room from a recent flight? I am a 6 foot tall guy and worried that I will be miserable on a 11 hour flight to Manila in coach. Anyone in this height range done a MNL or SYD flight in coach and has a comment? Do any seats have more leg room (except for the exit rows and bulkheads, which I know would be better but are not available).
Any comments appreciated.
Thank you

You will be miserable, sorry to say.
I'm 6'1" and when I have had to fly HA Y from Hawai`i to the mainland (which are the same planes as their SYD/MNL flights) it's really bad -- unless you can manage to have the seat next to you unoccupied.
If you've flown United, think Economy Minus.

Hi,
Thank you so much for letting me know. I had hoped that it was not as bad as 32'' pitch sounds. I would almost want both the seat next to me and the seat in front of me to be empty! If someone reclines, which is very likely, they will dig into my knees for the entire flight.
So, another airline it is. It's so disappointing as Hawaiian's flight times and fares are great.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it.

If you are in the exit row you should be fine I did a LAX-HNL in economy non exit row and it was horrible, then on the way back I managed to get exit row and it was ok.
I am a 6'4" guy so I feel your pain but your right the price is right.

I'm 6'1 and 280 -- I've been on the "newly" refurbished Delta 767s near the back and it was OK.. was on the 2 side and the seat next to me was open. Best thing to do is keep watching the seat map and get a seat far from everyone else!

checked seatguru and seatexpert ... how do you know which version of 767 you'll be on?

Hmm, I thought you had to be in the best rows of seats to get 32 in seat pitch.
I think much of the plane is 31 in.
Look at it this way. If the guy in front of you lowers their seat back it will crush your laptop. So at least you don't have to work on the way over.
I fly PHX-HNL (~7 hrs in the seat) monthly and if I take a Southwest flight now I feel like I am in Heaven and First Class.
But the cabin staff is very pleasant.
Oh, BTW, bring a thick magazine to put behind your back so the bony knees of the passenger behind you doesn't destroy your kidneys. (I wish I was kidding).

If I had to do Mainland-Hawaii flights on a monthly basis, I would fly UA, become Premier on UA, and fly in E+ -- even though there would be a connection in LAX or SFO. UA's E+ is great!
