Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Prepay with Alamo

Does anyone know how Alamo decides what rentals are eligible for the prepay option? I have a trip to SLC for 12 days that won't be changing and thought I could save a few bucks by prepaying, but the option wasn't offered. Is there something I am missing?

Can you give some more details of your rental? As far as I know you Should be able to prepay. Sometimes depending on the discount you are using where you would be required to show a Membership card...that can throw a monkey wrench in things...or that and a coupon. Sometimes it's just a software glitch. Have you tried to go back in and do it? Were you trying to use a Pre-paid Visa/Mastercard...cos those don't work. Lic and CC names must match exactly...Or did you even get that far?
My guess is the discount you are using....but post some more particulars and I will TRY to see if I can help. I'm not Carnack the Great...by any means.

I went back into my reservation, but can't seem to prepay. I used a "hot deals" promotion from Alamo for a free day, Contract ID 7013993, Coupon Code AF2604JDN. The rate code is also populatiod with BQW8, which I think saves me 5%. If I knew that was the problem, I would remove the code, prepay and save 10%.

Any help you might be able to offer would be appreciated.

The prepay option functions by contract ID, therefore it will not show up when you input a contract ID. Try removing your contract ID and it should show up. It is also not always available, especially on last minute rentals. The 10% prepay is not that good a deal. You can find many publicly available contract ID's that give the same discount without the prepaid requirement.
