I'm going to Martha's Vineyard for the first time over labor day (new ferry service during summer from NYC, $200 r/t, 4 to 5 hour trip).

Do FTers have a favorite hotel/inn/B&B? I don't really care which town it's in.

Most places that seem decent (private bathroom, clean) are about $260-300/night, but I'd like to spend more around $200 if possible.

Any other ideas/tips?

Thanks!

While I can't comment on anyplace on the Vineyard, I do recommend Karen Brown's reviews (www.karenbrown.com) when I'm looking for B&B's in area and not sure what to choose. Her reviews have never let me down.

Her reviews on the vineyard:

Friends of mine took that ferry over the Independence Day weekend. Expect very choppy water but also a very busy bar. ;)
