Here is the announcement on new MM arrangement with Frontier:

Presumably, this is also when codeshares will commence.

I am just going to toss this out there...There has been talk on this board about Midwest needing to improve services on flights (such as WiFi)...Does the purchase by Republic of Frontier and Midwest start a sharing of ideas and expertise of services to provide on each airline? ie, Does Midwest start putting Direct TV on flights and does Frontier start putting WiFi on flights? Or do the E190's and E170's stick with the barebones services and the Airbus's of Frontier get weaved into Midwest's expansion plan, which will then expand services for Midwest customers?

I've wondered about this as well.

If Airbus jets are coming from Frontier to Midwest, then it would seem natural that TV would be on these aircraft. This will be a nice selling point for Midwest and should bring in additional revenue.

Hopefully some upgrades will be coming to the E170/E190 fleet as well.

the TVs would be a good selling point. Is frontier still going to work with Airtran?

I think republic has a huge "win" on its hand as it (in my opinion) now have the ingredients to create an airline worthy of alliance membership. (I'd guess Skyteam).

FACT:
Midwest is partner with Northwest, recently acquired by Delta.
Midwest has a hub in Milwaukee and Kansas City. Frontier is Denver.
Milwaukee has large NW Worldperks members base.
Denver is hub to Star Alliance member United (thus not likely Star Alliance).
Republic currently operates as commuter carrier for Delta as Chautauqua and Shuttle America.

Assumptions:
I believe Republic is changing its mission from operating as a commuter airline to a mainline airline to maintain its business viability and minimizing reliance on other carriers for scheduling.

I think Republic's stock value will appreciate in the coming months..... :)

to maintain its business viability and minimizing reliance on other carriers for scheduling.

This part of your point is the main reason for the purchases. BB stated in the begining of this transaction that he didn't want the company openly exposed like it was durning the F9 bankruptcy. Now by owning two branded carriers if one of the codeshares goes out of business the assets can easily be alocated to new markets without as much exposer.

MM award travel bookings for F9 now being accepted, by phone, only.

Unlike YX, blackout dates apply around holiday periods. Both RT and OW travel are available, at the same mileage levels as Midwest, for travel within the lower 48.
