Other European Frequent Flyer Programs - IB and MAD newbie - Q's lounges, checkin, boardings

Please excuse my inexperience with IB and MAD but I did some searching here (and found a lot of answers) but still have a few questions about my first IB flight next week. I have no IB or OneWorld status but am *A Gold (US Plat).

Itinerary:
YYZ-MAD on Air Canada, Business First
MAD-AGP on IB, domestic bus class
(same on return)

I have four hours in MAD between flights both ways and need to work, eat, and enjoy a beverage before boarding. Carry luggage only.

Questions:
1. After clearing immig/customs at T1, can I check in for IB flight without going through security again or do I need to go to the main T4 ticket desks and start anew? Can I avoid this if I print my boarding pass online (no luggage)?

2. Once in T4, will my IB Bus class ticket get me IB lounge access in MAD?

3. Can I use IB lounge showers even though I arrive on Air Canada or only for IB international arrivals?

4. Can I expect a real meal on the short MAD-AGP flight in Bus Class? Should/could I eat at the IB lounge instead?

RETURN
5. After arriving in MAD, can I use an IB lounge in T4 with my Bus Class ticket even though I'm connecting to AC international business at T1?

6. Is there an IB or *A lounge in T1 (where my AC flight departs)?

THANK YOU in advance...

The only question I can answer with any certainty is number 2.

Questions:
1. After clearing immig/customs at T1, can I check in for IB flight without going through security again or do I need to go to the main T4 ticket desks and start anew? Can I avoid this if I print my boarding pass online (no luggage)?

Personally I'm not even certain that airside transfer is possible between T4 and the other terminals at MAD. [T4 is new and a long way away from the others.] I've read of a 30minute journey for the (free) inter-terminal transit bus, but I'm certain it is probably quicker by train/underground (think this would be a paid journey).

EDIT: Looks like there IS an airside transfer bus. You ought to be able to follow flight connections signs therefore. But no experience of inter terminal airside transfer at MAD myself.

2. Once in T4, will my IB Bus class ticket get me IB lounge access in MAD?

Yes.

There are three parts to T4: the main T4 and then the two distinct parts of the satellite terminal T4S. But Iberia has a good lounge in each of the three departures areas. Your flight will probably go from the main 'T4' bit I would expect.

3. Can I use IB lounge showers even though I arrive on Air Canada or only for IB international arrivals?

Can't recall what the shower facilities are like in the main T4 lounge, I *think* there are shower facilities (perhaps just 1!), but you may need to ask at the desk.

4. Can I expect a real meal on the short MAD-AGP flight in Bus Class? Should/could I eat at the IB lounge instead?

In my experience, expect a hot breakfast if it is early morning. Or a small tray of 3 snack sized / tapas items at other times of day (small filled rolls, or small pastry snacks, etc.)

Plenty of snacks, nibbles and crisps in the lounge though.

5. After arriving in MAD, can I use an IB lounge in T4 with my Bus Class ticket even though I'm connecting to AC international business at T1?

If your flight comes into the main T4 you will almost certainly arrive back in the departures area.
BUT I very much doubt you will be given access to the IB lounge. It is for departing passengers. I'm almost certain offically you would not be allowed access and would expect the same in practice.

6. Is there an IB or *A lounge in T1 (where my AC flight departs)?

No IB lounges in T1 (all OneWorld is in T4) but certain you'd not get access anyway per above.
Not a much of *A person, and all most all my MAD experience is T4. So I have no knowlege of this area.

There is an airport operator (AENA) premium pax lounge in T1 which some airlines will certainly be using for their premium and status passengers. It is also priority pass open and you can probably buy your way in as well!

Incidentally AGP (Malaga) airport is currently undergoing expansion works, so is still a bit of building site. There is one premium pax lounge, again operated by the airport operator AENA, called the Sala VIP Europa. This is what IB use and you will have free access to this. [Though you will find a high percentage of paid entry people at this lounge.]

Hope that helps. Sadly (or happily I've no idea!) my MAD experience is mostly T4/S

Spanair operate the new and extremely nice *G/business class lounge in T2. You should be able to access that with your AC BP.
