Other European Frequent Flyer Programs - Miles posting on OK+: AF one day, AM SIX WEEKS

Is anyone else seeing this kind of variance?
Today I got two flights credited, one from Monday night (!!) on AF, and one from 04.07 on Aeromexico! They still owe me two UX flights I took about 3 weeks ago, but I guess I should wait a bit more till I send the BPs in.
We're just talking simple flights here, coded and op by the same airline, and on reservations that all contained my FFP number, with status printing correctly on the boarding pass (in fact, the UX and AF flights are part of the same, OK-issued RTW ticket!)- what's the explanation?

As indicated in a recent thread - the difference in posting speed of flights can be humonguous. If I fly from PRG the miles are sometimes credited before I arrive at the destination. AF/KL takes a day or so longer; non-Skyteam airlines (e.g. VV) may easily take six weeks.
It is all about how the interfaces between the FF programmes operate - and the number of OK passengers on UX probably is not an important reason to develop an automated interface. Probably at the end of the month they fax a written statement with all three or so UX routes flown by OK passengers to some Prague office where some lady keys them in.

NW and DL typically post in 48 hours, if they post. I mail in the BP if I don't see the flight after 10 days so I don't know what the upper limit could be. I have also had success getting a flight to post by email.

Hi,
Just wanted to blast off some steam here.. I just returned back to OK+ after leaving FB due to their silly changes. Everything was more or less ok since beginning of this year (though still angry that they did not status match me to my *A status so I could begin off with a good start!).
Anyway, recently I flew with KLM from BKK back to AMS. The ticket was originally booked in Economy, but it was upgraded and confirmed by paying extra to Biz a couple of days before the flight. It was credited as economy which I later claimed for Biz miles. They requested for a copy of the ticket and BP which I sent. They returned arguing that it was an airport standby upgrade which of course was not. After several emails and getting a written confirmation from KLM itself that this was a Confirmed upgrade, I still have yet to settle this with them.
I wonder if it is because they are plain ignorant, language issue or just pure zero sense of Customer friendliness.
I do not know how I can drill it anymore into them that it is a paid and confirmed upgrade!!. Am just so angry with them and sometimes when they come back now with the same answer, I just feel like adding some harsh words in there.. .. but in the end I still need to stay with them as within Europe there are hardly any good ST programs to join.. arggh..

Stand by upgrades are very very common in OK; not so much in KL. Probably they have lots of people who try to claim extra points on the basis of C boarding passes. They can of course check easily in the OK ticketing system - probably they do not have access to the KL ticketing system. I would assume that on the basis of the written KLM confirmation they can handle the points.
By the way - as you are sort of a points tourist to them (I assume here that you practically never flying OK metal - correct me if I am wrong) I don't know whether they have any reason to be quick, efficient or even polite to you.
No idea really how the settlement of points between the airline companies is, but I assume there is none, as KLM probably will not be subsidizing OK if they hand out more points than themselves for the same flight.
I fly OK metal a lot - and I am totally fine with their customer service, upgrade policy etc - especially when compared to FB (I was FD/FB platinum for five years).
So probably they are being obnoxious on purpose, and they hope you decide to move out ASAP ;-)

Well, they have been like this since I joined OK+ about 6 years ago, when it was my primary ST program. It is true that I don't fly them often, but they should understand that it is also because their network is so limited, so they can't expect OK+ members to be always flying with them.. :o
One of the reason I left them earlier was more related to communication issues rather than the program itself. It seems that they have improved slightly, though further improvement and way of treating their elite members should improve. Although there are some exceptional cases where they do surprise you at time..
Well.. as said, within Europe, there are not much choices around.. so I guess I just have take it or leave it..
