AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Cancellation Fee Question

Recently bought 2 round trip tickets from Airtran for a total of $280. I would now like to cancel them (or change them for later use). THe cancellation fee is more than the tickets. The total cancellation fee with be $300 ($75 per ticket for each way). Does that mean they will refund $280 and then charge $300 making me pay a total of $20? Or, does it mean they will charge $300 and not refund the $280 making me pay a total of $580? Sorry if this is a common sense question for the frequent fliers. I appreciate your answers.

If the tickets were purchased as round trip, then the change fee is $75 per reservation, not for each direction of travel.

So, in this scenario, you should be able to get a credit of $130 ($65 per person) to use for a future reservation. Remember that it has to be used for travel under the same names.

I believe the above to be correct, but you'll just have to call to make sure.
