I've seen them cheap, but never this cheap before. New, too - not a refurb.

Details -
1 Asus EEEPC900A-WFBB01 Netbook with 1.6GHz Atom Processor, 8.9” LCD, 1GB DDR2, 4GB SSD and Linux

Not a bad deal. Just make sure you are comfortable there is no Windows operating system and you would be using Linux.

Agreed-- $170 is the refurb price from other sites. Beware also that the Linux distro that's preloaded takes up most of the 4GB SSD, and with auto-updates turned on it will fill it up almost immediately. See:

The Eee PC 900 is just an Eee PC 701 (aka the original) in a larger form factor, correct?
Complete with the underclocked Celeron CPU and smallish battery.

All true. I recommend wiping and installing a light Linux distro on these 4 GB SSD's. My personal preference, after trying several, is Arch Linux.

Good to know. I've been looking at EasyPeasy (Ubuntu-eee), but haven't taken the time yet to poke around at the alternatives.

The Woot 900 has a 1.6GHz Atom processor and an estimated 4hr battery life. I believe the form factor was otherwise similar to the 701, but I could be wrong on that.
