Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Cathay- Promotions for a European?

I seem to be short of my total club miles for this year - I need 5,608; to keep to the silver membership in the Marco Polo club.
I was looking at getting a AmEx card but the promo is only for HongKong.
I live in Germany now.
Any know of a good promotion I could join to get these valuable points?:rolleyes:

1. You cannot earn clubmiles on your credit card spending, only asiamiles
2. There's no other way to earn club miles other than flying
3. If you have upcoming trips, try call MPC to extend your member renewal time. Some reports that MPC have better tolerance for miss shot for renewal this year. try search here for older thread for more information.

My wife just did this successfully, but she was just ~1,000 miles short for her silver renewal and was booked on a flight that would do that a week after her membership year expired. Good Luck.

My friend got to retain silver even though she was short by about 2k miles.
MPC seems to be generous this year.
