Does anyone know what flights tend to be oversold out SEA? I just moved to SEA and I am trying to learn the ropes of the AS system.

I believe AS tries not to oversell the transcons or Hawaii flights by very much, since it is more difficult/expensive to reaccommodate passengers. However, the ANC/SEA- Hawaii flights occasionally face excessive headwind issues during the winter months that may require either a technical stop or bumps. brarrr Aug 13, 09, 4:12 pm friday afternoon/evening LAS flights maokh Aug 13, 09, 4:39 pm Alaska has a lot of destinations out of SEA .. any route in particular? dc333 Aug 13, 09, 8:08 pm SEA-DCA on Sundays and Mondays. Have you applied for a status match yet? Jlove Aug 13, 09, 8:33 pm Both Tucson and Phoenix have large universities, which are starting up soon. Probably alot of students and others affiliated with the universities leave for summer and may now be returning (most AS flights to either city leave from SEA). Also, although a bit premature at this point, when school breaks kick in, like Spring Break, or other holidays, flights may tend to be overbooked. |
