Virgin America Elevate - Virgin America baggage questions

My friend is traveling LAX-IAD today, and he has 2 ~70lb bags and one golf bag (no hard case). We were wondering how much it is going to cost in baggage fees. Ticket was booked on Orbitz.

We calculated the fees as $95 ($15*3 + $50 for 2nd 70lb bag). Would this be correct?

sounds correct as far as the charges, but, per the website help section under "sports equipment":

--> Golf bag in a hard-sided golf travel bag provided by the guest, including clubs, balls, and shoes. We do not recommend soft-sided golf bags, and cannot accept liability for soft-sided travel bags or their contents. Golf bags without a traveling case are not accepted.
