JetBlue TrueBlue - All you can jet on JetBlue in one month for $599View Full Version : All you can jet on JetBlue in one month for $599 travfar Aug 12, 09, 11:31 am Fly anywhere that JetBlue flies for one month, $599 AI although international taxes apply. http://www.jetblue.com/deals/all-you-can-jet/ Stolen from sd. BlissWorld Aug 12, 09, 11:36 am That's pretty good. Now if I could only get a month off work... aaron1262 Aug 12, 09, 11:42 am it might be worth it if you can do a transcon every week for a month. you do get 35 TB points for the entire promotion. travfar Aug 12, 09, 11:56 am Personally, I'm shooting for a different city everyday. 57 cities, 30 days. I think I can do it. ashaboe Aug 12, 09, 12:06 pm I could, unfortunately not with less than 30 days' notice ... That's pretty good. Now if I could only get a month off work... drewdawg199 Aug 12, 09, 12:09 pm this is such a good deal. If I could even get a week off of work I would make this worthwhile Meneer Guggenheimer Aug 12, 09, 12:20 pm perfect for what I need. I am going with a buddy to the US. And we will now fly to a city a day! gooseman13 Aug 12, 09, 12:25 pm Very cool jaguar Aug 12, 09, 12:36 pm I love this promotion but JetBlue must me hurting for cash if they are doing this. I remember Eastern Airlines had a somewhat similar promotion 30 years ago. sbm12 Aug 12, 09, 12:39 pm it might be worth it if you can do a transcon every week for a month. you do get 35 TB points for the entire promotion. Which is less than 3x one-way transcons booked online. It is a horrible deal for Mileage Running but a good deal if you have time from September 8 - October 8 and want to have some fun with jetBlue's route map. Also being discussed in the B6 forum (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/jetblue-trueblue/984447-jetblue-all-you-can-jet-pass-new-post.html) and here (http://www.wanderingaramean.com/2009/08/how-much-blue-would-jetter-jet-if.html). TrojanHorse Aug 12, 09, 12:40 pm wow, this works great for football season.. I can get games at SEA (washington), @SFO/OAK(Cal) @LAX (home games),.. three games for $200 each.. I don't think I can beat that anywhere else and non stop to boot.. i need to look into this anyone know the upgrade fee jfkeze Aug 12, 09, 12:48 pm what upgrade?? the only upgrade could be to the "more leg room" seats :D gj83 Aug 12, 09, 12:52 pm How are loads on B6? It does require 3 days notice so it does sound confirmed. If I lived near a B6 hub it might be a good deal, but I prefer to not connect trough JFK if I don't have to. sbm12 Aug 12, 09, 1:17 pm what upgrade?? the only upgrade could be to the "more leg room" seats :D EML seats are $40 each way on transcons, $25 on mid-cons and $10 on short hops. I found a 60 hour run that covers 11,000 miles and would be a lot of fun. The only problem would be taxes as much of it is international. I have to look for better domestic routes. Their network on the west coast is pretty weak. Makes it hard to piece anything too fun together. Upstate Aug 12, 09, 1:36 pm I wonder if this is this going to include connections with Cape Air or is it just JetBlue aircraft. travfar Aug 12, 09, 1:41 pm Bought my pass and started booking my flights, 1 city booked and 29 left to go. Scott6067 Aug 12, 09, 1:47 pm I wish this was for January, I would be all up for that. Doing tons of flights! sbm12 Aug 12, 09, 2:12 pm I wonder if this is this going to include connections with Cape Air or is it just JetBlue aircraft. No codeshares or interline flights. B6 metal only. MileageAddict Aug 12, 09, 3:23 pm I bet they feature the most proficient "power user" after the promotion ends. Of course, it will be a Flyertalker. :D ITravelThereforeIam Aug 12, 09, 3:40 pm don't know if this is already evident, but accoding to the True Blue web site, the new program will give points based on dollars spent, not segments, so if you spend $599 for an unlimited ticket, but then take 50 segments, you will get true blue points for the money, not the segments.....might that make the offer slightly less appealing if you are using it for MR? I apologize if this was already addressed.... Mrp Alert Aug 12, 09, 4:15 pm Wirelessly posted (FlyerTalk.com/wap is fun : BlackBerry9630/4.7.1.40 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105) I'm doing the math on this one right now. It seems like it works with my scheduled travel for the month and would be a fun way to get around the country. LilZeppelin Aug 12, 09, 4:31 pm Anybody think the likelihood of others (such as UA for me in Chicago), rolling out a similar product is greater than 0? gomike Aug 12, 09, 4:40 pm Anybody think the likelihood of others (such as UA for me in Chicago), rolling out a similar product is greater than 0? There is no chance a legacy carrier would do this, they offer to many flights. Many people spend $600 on a single ticket with legacy carriers. sbm12 Aug 12, 09, 4:41 pm don't know if this is already evident, but accoding to the True Blue web site, the new program will give points based on dollars spent, not segments, so if you spend $599 for an unlimited ticket, but then take 50 segments, you will get true blue points for the money, not the segments.....might that make the offer slightly less appealing if you are using it for MR? I apologize if this was already addressed.... This should NOT be seen as a mileage run. It is a fixed earning of 35 old points. The dollar value there is pretty horrible. It will earn zero new points. But it could be fun. paytonc Aug 12, 09, 4:52 pm Anybody think the likelihood of others (such as UA for me in Chicago), rolling out a similar product is greater than 0? Very, very slim, but not zero. If it happened, it would be much more similar to Air Canada's "flight passes" (which run more like $3000 a month) or the three alliances' RTW/continent passes, which offer a set number of coupons for a fixed price. beepyou Aug 12, 09, 4:54 pm There is no chance a legacy carrier would do this, they offer to many flights. Many people spend $600 on a single ticket with legacy carriers. Air Canada had a similar promotion about 1.5 years ago. The Winter/Spring Gateway pass :) ETA: But you were only allowed to fly tuesday/saturday/sunday, not everday LilZeppelin Aug 12, 09, 4:59 pm This pass is great news for travelers, especially those in BOS and NYC area. I wish at least Southwest came up with something like that, which is not very likely since I think that anything similar would take a long time for internal bureaucracies to approve. KarlJ Aug 12, 09, 5:48 pm Anybody think the likelihood of others (such as UA for me in Chicago), rolling out a similar product is greater than 0? I wouldn't count on much more than zero, but there's certainly no harm in hoping... or watching for that matter. Rojo Aug 12, 09, 6:36 pm "You may only book one flight per city per day; if a violation of this policy is found, JetBlue will honor only the last booking made and cancel the customer's other bookings from that city on that day." What does this mean?? One flight per CITY?? per DAY?? If I fly SFO-LGB and LAX-JFK on the same day, is it allowed?? Can you do connections?? travfar Aug 12, 09, 6:40 pm "You may only book one flight per city per day; if a violation of this policy is found, JetBlue will honor only the last booking made and cancel the customer's other bookings from that city on that day." What does this mean?? One flight per CITY?? per DAY?? If I fly SFO-LGB and LAX-JFK on the same day, is it allowed?? Can you do connections?? Yes, you can do connections. It means you can't do something like NYC-ORD ORD-NYC NYC-BOS on the same day. DenverBrian Aug 12, 09, 6:57 pm No same-day round trips, then? Sounds like you must stay overnight in a different city each day. nsx Aug 12, 09, 7:20 pm don't know if this is already evident, but accoding to the True Blue web site, the new program will give points based on dollars spent, not segments, so if you spend $599 for an unlimited ticket, but then take 50 segments, you will get true blue points for the money, not the segments.....might that make the offer slightly less appealing if you are using it for MR? You get a flat 35 points, and these are points in the old program. If you already have 65 old points, great. If you have zero, not so great. Because the old points do NOT transfer to the new program. You can transfer points back from the new program to the old, but the exchange rate is not very favorable. I halfway expect JetBlue to relent within a few months and allow old points to be transferred to new. If they don't, you won't get a lot of value from those 35 points. Nevertheless, $600 for a month of unlimited last-seat-availability travel is outstanding. See the detailed discussion at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/jetblue-trueblue/984447-jetblue-all-you-can-jet-pass.html nsx Aug 12, 09, 7:21 pm No same-day round trips, then? Sounds like you must stay overnight in a different city each day. Round trip should be fine, as long as you don't depart twice from the same city in one day. Rojo Aug 12, 09, 7:22 pm Yes, you can do connections. It means you can't do something like NYC-ORD ORD-NYC NYC-BOS on the same day. Thanks travfar... but now that I got my answer, a new question arises: what happens if I miss my connection because my first flight was delayed for uncontrollable reasons? Or if my FLL-LGB flight on September 8 is cancelled and I autmatically miss my flight on September 9 LGB-JFK. Do I have to pay the $100 no-show fee?? The rules say: A customer traveling on a Pass is subject and entitled to all provisions of JetBlue’s Contract of Carriage except those regarding fare refundability rules, Bill of Rights compensation, and denied boarding compensation. To the extent these Terms conflict with the Contract of Carriage, these Terms shall apply. So the contract of carriage says I will not get compensation for the cancelation, but would they change my next flight without penalty? Hopefully yes. I know I have too many questions, but hopefully they will be answered before people buy the All You Can Jet Pass!! I am planning on using the pass as much as I can (traveling on many B6 flights) so I don't want to end up paying a lot of money for uncontrollable delays and cancelations. I will also call B6 to get this questions answered (hopefully) and post them here!! LilZeppelin Aug 12, 09, 7:35 pm Round trip should be fine, as long as you don't depart twice from the same city in one day. terms and conditions say exactly that: " Booking multiple flights departing from the same city on the same day is prohibited, and any such bookings will be cancelled with the exception of the most recently booked flight." BiziBB Aug 12, 09, 7:56 pm Hi, I've moved this thread from Mileage Run Deals to JetBlue because it's not much of a miles discussion in the thread. I have requested the thread be merged with the similar thread already in your B6 forum. However, the Mileage Run Deals forum retains this thread's redirect link until this offer expires, August 21. Cheers, BiziBB, Moderator, Mileage Run forums daveland Aug 13, 09, 1:28 am This is kind of insane. In a good way :) I would have never considered flying around for a month - but I confess I'm dreaming a bit here...... MileageAddict Aug 13, 09, 6:03 am If I had a job where I could take a month off, I would do it and explore all those Caribbean destinations. sbm12 Aug 13, 09, 7:24 am Now that this is in the jetBlue forum I am going to lock it. Please continue the discussion in the original thread here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/jetblue-trueblue/984447-jetblue-all-you-can-jet-pass.html. Thanks, sbm12 Moderator, jetBlue |
