I want to buy a MacBook Pro 13". I'm going through LHR on wednesday. Arriving at Terminal 5 and have to change to T4 for a connecting flight with another airline leaving 3 hours later.

I'm thinking going to T4 first, check in (and get rid of my suitcase), then pickup the computer and then go through security and board.

So is Dixons the way to go? As far as I understand I need to call them at least 24 hours in advance and then it will be ready to pick up.

What if the plane arriving to LHR is late and I don't have time to pick up the order? Do you have to give them a credit card number in advance, or can you cancel if you somehow can't make it to the store?

Another question: Do Dixons have to check my boarding pass or something or is it just a regular store that's in the airport with lower prices?

There's a PC World in T5. This has a mini Apple store on site.

I'd call them in advance and ask them to reserve on for you. I wouldn't have thought they'd ask you for a deposit, as they normally stock them anyway.

Cheers,
Rick

Ahhh. Just realised you said connecting to T4! So, you won't be able to get to PC World in T5 :(

Cheers,
Rick

While you're there, be sure to say hello to employee Madhu Singh, a member of the renowned performance group "Signature (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Signature_(dance_group))." Signature won 2nd place in the Britain's Got Talent contest last year, and has had at least one live tour. Singh and his partner, Suleman Mirza (the world's foremost Michael Jackson tribute artist), are currently working on a movie script and a sitcom.
