All Nippon Airways Mileage Club - Best Lounge in NRT for Star Alliance Gold

Will be stopping over at NRT, flying return from YVR to SIN on biz.

Whats the best lounge to use in NRT?
Will need a shower!

You will have access to the NH lounges or the United Red Carpet Club. Both have adequate shower facilities. It's been a while since I've been to the RCC in Tokyo but they used to give out H2O amenities. The NH Lounge has one time use products in foil packets. As someone who has access to both lounges, I've been going to the NH lounge as they have the Noodle Bar there too which I like.

I prefer the NH lounge near Gate 51, as it has nice views, noodles, and a Sake bar. It also has showers, but the RCC shower facilities are fine as well.

The RCC tends to be a bit more crowded, but it is only a 10 minute walk or so between the two, so you could surely decide for yourself. I anticipate that MOST folks here will say that NH lounge is preferable.

I would choose the Gate 51 NH lounge as well. Unless I need UA Customer Service, I skip the RCC. Enjoy.

RCC NRT still does give out full H2O shower kit in opppose to one time use cheap shampoo packets in NH lounge.

IIRC, it includes Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Soap, Tooth Brush/Tooth Paste and Green Tee eau de toilette.

Nice plan! I will probably do this as well although Ill be originating in NRT as a NH C class pax... but I can still access this lounge, right? Or is it only reserved for Star Gold? Im Star Gold, but havent received my card yet so am worried they will give me a hard time.

On a side note, does anyone know how early NH begins check-in NRT-LAX? I dont want to arrive at the airport more than three hours in advance if I cant even check in for the flight, but if I can lounge hop, I would certainly do it as I have to check out of my hotel early anyway.

I don't believe the RCC will hold your luggage for you though. I tried in December 2007 and they told me it was at my own risk.
