How do you think collaboration with VS will affect LY? More destinations?Wide codeshare with VS? Movement to T3 in LHR? Better slots in LHR? Matmid to become Flying Club?

However, these are good news. VS is a better airline than LY and Flying Club is better than Matmid. LY's collaboration with VS can be very good for the customers.

Apparently i heard they are focusing on Sun d'or collaboration.

Interesting news item. I agree that this might be good for El Al, although it seems that Branson is rather out in the cold when it comes to collaborating with other major airlines. Virgin has joined no major alliance, and the various Virgin brands are rather disparate.

I wonder how the two corporate cultures would interact if there was close collaboration between El Al and Virgin. Virgin started off as quite anti-establishment -- now, it likes to paint itself as the plucky upstart but has become much more successful than such a strategy would suggest.

Well I suppose that's one way to combine the El Al name with a virgin-esque meaning. To make it even more apt, wouldn't this airline require young female FAs as the centrepiece of its advertising a la SQ's Singapore Girl? :D

Branson was in Israel a couple of weeks ago and was interviewed to TheMarker. He denied negotiations with LY stating Virgin prefer to start airlines from the ground up rather than invest in existing airlines.

2. Change everytime you are in the KDL lounges the home page to the forums
3. Cause Ynet/NRg etc... to write about this forum...
4. create a tinyurl for the forum address (too long if you need to give it
to someone).
5. Bring this to the attention of people in FF conferences

If all that doesnt work:
Hire blonde girls running with the tinyurl (or anything tiny!) in the bgu airport (this is why it should be tinyurl! read fast!) - If Bamba doing it in commercial...

BTW, Virgin's spokesman does confirm the talks, but it would be regarding

Yes, but it's a nice pun (glad you got it: nobody else seemed to except dannyboy). Don't Jews and Christians fight anyway (sometimes)? I'm still waiting to see a stand off between a haredi minyan at the back of a plane and a group of nuns saying the rosary -- who gets priority for the space? :p

Yes, but since VS are based in LON, presumably a codeshare would definately be on the LON-TLV route which is in direct competition with BD.
