Emirates Airlines Skywards - Upgrading Arabian Airpass using miles

Has anyone tried this before? or will it be rejected because they fall under discounted fares?

If you have arabian airpass flights in economy or business currently appearing on your reservation, could you at least try and do the upgrade?

Never tried this, i doubt that you can but worth trying.

For the difference in prices, it's worth buying a class higher. If it fails on-line, then try at the desk.

I'm looking to buy 4 passes for 2pax, that's 8 in total.
Economy at $150 is pretty decent value -1200 in total, and don't see myself spending another 1200USD on top for 3 hour flights.
Though we have plenty of points to burn on upgrades.

As soon as my first 2 legs are ticketed I will try the upgrade.

From memory they allow you 2 one way tickets in Y, 4 one way tickets in J and 6 one way tickets in F per passenger. I am going to buying 6 tickets ex BOM next time i fly out. They were fully refundable and changes allowed at no charge, will have to check the T&C's

Can I buy them at the Airport counter just before I board the flight (I have a flight BOM-DXB-BHX-DXB-BOM with a stop in DXB each way, I purchased the ticekt on line.

Do you earn teir and miles on Air Pass Tickets? Might buy a few Y (BAH) and F to BEY and LCA.

You have to buy at EK offices or dedicated EK tickets offices at the departure airport. Make sure the airport has a dedicated EK desk otherwise you are screwed. You also get full quota of miles. 2 of the tickets i am going to buy next week in BOM will be for BEY.

Well, I just upgraded all my Arabian pass tickets to Business. So it works :D
