U.K. and Ireland - Bar and restaurant prices LHR Sofitel

Have done a search but can't find any detailed info.
Has anyone any ideas how much a pint , glass of wine , spirit with mixture cost in the bar at the Sofitel?
Same with the cost of a three course meal?
It's a bit worrying that a lot of advice is to go to M&S at arrivals.

Hey Half Pint...

I do not have specific prices, however, some of my crew colleagues who have stayed there on personal stays the night before trips etc... say it is ridiculously
priced... and they have all gone to M+S, or if they want a drink drink, have gone to the 5 Tones or something on the departures level, which is much more realistically priced.

We spent about GBP 60 for two, with each having
1 main course, 1 soft drink, 1 cocktail


Cocktails were GBP 13 IIRC.

We ate in the restaurant opposite the bar, and the food and service was great (they have improved beyond all recognition from the first time we stayed there one month after opening). For breakfast, we used the Flounge, so can't comment on Sofitel!

There's not much in the way of "light snacks", so for sure, if I wanted something light I'd wander into M&S.

Also the room minibars are not stocked unless you pre-request it. But you're welcome to put your own things in the fridge, so picking up things at M&S / Smiths is a no-brainer for drinks.

I am glad that my planned stops at the LHR Sofitel later this year will be arriving after dinner and departing for breakfast airside.

Stayed at Sofitel a few times; always had dinner at Brasserie Roux. About 150-180 pounds for two - starter, main, dessert, a bottle of (nice) wine, a cocktail. And I usually get a glass of chamoagne as well...:D
Service and food are excellent.
The bar is priced like any other bar in London at a nice hotel.

It is pricey, and I certainly did not have a "superb" experience the last time I was there ... ordered Chateaubriand and the waiter (who appeared to be the supervisor) butchered the fillet - I have never seen anyone carve so badly and I ended up with a portion much smaller than my colleague :td:

I too normally go to the Flounge, but it was a late departure so had breakfast for once - all table service ... great breads, lovely fruit plate and not that expensive or maybe half it was comped by said supervisor ;)

I have eatern in both Roux and normal restaurant
both OK not outstanting the £150 for 2 is about right (with a couple of glasses of wine each )

As the others have said, very pricey to eat and drink at the Sofitel. I went over to T5 and got some wine and snacks from M&S, and had my dinner in the Three Tuns pub on the departures level (very nice pub grub type food).

The Sofitel at Gatwick has better food !

I agree with tinkerbell the food is much nicer at Sofitel LGW.

I'm not a great fan of french food but the wife likes it so we always end up eating in Brasserie Roux at LHR, it's always good quality and service. The £150-£180 is about right.
